Program Waqaf Local Mosque UK kedua pada tahun ini setelah dengan Leeds Grand Mosque (LGM), minggu ini KIBAR mengajak kembali sahabat dan jamaah sekalian untuk berpartisipasi dalam penggalangan infaq oleh Pengajian Al-Imanu Newcastle untuk Newcastle Central Mosque (NCM) dalam pembangunan dan perluasan masjid.

Newcastle Central Mosque Project

The Project Steering Group, including businessmen and professionals from a variety of sectors within the community, has commissioned the design of an iconic new mosque to be built on the site of our existing premises.
Developed by a talented team consisting of architects and other professionals working in partnership with the Steering Group, the new mosque has been designed to meet all the needs of our community, as a place of prayer, education, friendship, physical fitness and relaxation.
The new mosque will provide modern, purpose-designed facilities across four floors, including:
- Welcome lobby with café facilities
- State-of-the-art fitness facilities for both men & women
- Multi-purpose hall available for events and private functions
- Wadu area
- Main Prayer Hall
- Women’s Prayer Hall
- Well-equipped classrooms
- Fully stocked library
- Proposed New Flats
The proposed development is designed to generate revenue to run day to day operations and will be created from sustainable resources wherever possible, even generating 10% of its own power supply. The outside will be attractively landscaped gardens with on-site parking for up to 56 cars.
Start of Phase One
With the grace of Almighty Allah, the foundation stone was laid by Dr. Shaik Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Saleh Al-Saleh in the presence of the Jummah congregation and well wishers of the Newcastle Central Mosque on the 30th of May 2014.
The mosque project has started and was handed over to the construction company on the 2ndof June 2014.
Phase Two
Since the completion of phase one, phase two is ready to commence. Phase Two will be consisting of the full steel structure of the building, including all four floors with concrete slabs. There will be four levels of slab, i.e. basement floor, first floor, second floor & roof. Also the stairs.
To launch the construction of phase two funds of £1,000,000 (one million) is required. By the grace of Allah pledges of £500,000 have already been made from a few doners. The rest is up to you.
